Sunday Gravy

Braciole Recipe: 

3 6-8 oz. eye-round steaks (tenderized) 

3 teaspoons of grated Parmesan cheese 

3 teaspoons of Italian parsley Salt and pepper to taste

Gravy: 

2 6.5 lbs. of whole pair tomato (Pureed in a blender)

4 cups of diced onion 

1 cup of chopped garlic 

2 cups of olive oil 

2 cups of fresh basil leaves 

1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese

Salt & pepper to taste

10 Meatballs

1 lb. of Italian Sausage (mild or hot)

1 rack of park ribs

3 Braciole


Instructions:

 

  1. Prepare the Braciole, Sausage, Ribs & Meatballs.
  2. In a 12 qt. pot on med-high heat, add 1/2 cup of olive oil.
  3. Add the Braciole and Sausage and sear on all sides.
  4. Remove the meat and then add 1 & 1/2 cups of olive oil, dice onion and garlic and fresh basil. Cook until golden brown.
  5. Add tomato, Parmesan, salt and pepper. 
  6. Add all the cooked meat into the pot of sauce continue cooking until the sauce come to a light boil.
  7. Reduce heat and continue cooking for 3 hours (Frequently Stirring.
  8. Cook your favorite pasta and enjoy.
