Wagyu Bolognese Pasta

Ingredients: 

  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 lbs. of wagyu or ground chuck
  • 3 bay leaves
  • ½ cup of white wine
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 4 TBSP of tomato paste
  • 1 28 oz. cans of imported plum tomatoes (pureed in blender)
  • 1 &1/4 TBSP of salt
  • ¾ tsp. of black pepper
  • 2 lbs. of Mafaldine or you favorite pasta

 Instructions: 

1. Shred celery & carrots – chop onion and garlic

2. In a large pan, add olive oil, all the veggies, bay leaves, ½ tsp of salt and ¼ tsp. of black pepper

3. Once the veggies are translucent, add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.

4. Add Wagyu, white wine and milk – Cook until meat is entirely brown.

5. Add pureed plum tomatoes, TBSP of Romano cheese, TBSP of salt & ½ tsp. of black pepper- Cook for 30 minutes on med-low heat (frequently stirring).

6. Cook pasta per package instructions
