Easy Garlic Breadsticks

Dough

  • 1 & 1/4 cups of water (100 - 110 degrees F)
  • 2 & 1/4 tsps of active dry yeast
  • 2 TBSP of Sugar
  • 1 TBSP of Salt
  • 3 TBSP of Olive Oil

DIRECTIONS:

1. In warm water (100-110 degrees F), add the yeast and let sit for 2 minutes.

2. Add sugar to the yeast water and stir until dissolved.

3. In a mixing bowl, add flour and salt and then pour the liquid and olive oil into it.  Let mix or kneed for 10 minutes.

4. Once the dough is ready, place into a bowl with a tsp. of olive oil, cover and let rise for 1.5 to 2 hours.

5. Strech dough evenly and cut into 1 in strips, shape into sticks and the place them in a tray lines with parchment paper and semolina.  

6. Let rise for 20-30 minutes

7.  Preheat oven to 425 degrees and bake for about 20 minutes or until the sticks are golden brown.

8. Brush with lots of garlic butter and then top them with salt, granulated garlic and parmesan cheese. Enoy!


Bread Topping (Garlic Butter)

  • 1/4 lb of salted butter
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 TBSP of Chopped Italian parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp of granulated garlic

DIRECTIONS:

1. Melt 1/4 lb. of salted butter.

2. Once the butter has cool down, add into a blender with olive oil and garlic. Blend for a minute.

3. Add mixture into a bowl and then add the parsley.
