GRANDMA'S CRAB PASTA

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs. of Linguini
  • 4 cans of imported Plum Tomatoes
  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 8 - 10 cloves of garlic
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves
  • 3 TBSP of chopped Italian Parsley
  • 1 tsp of crushed red pepper
  • 4 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

1. Clean crabs

2. Puree plum tomatoes in blender, chop Garlic and Parsley

3. On medium-high heat, in a large pot, add olive oil and garlic-cook until translucent.

4. Add the crab, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper-cook for 2 minutes.

5. Now add fresh basil and parsley and cook for 2-3 minutes.

6. Finally, add the tomato, cover and let cook until the sauce comes to a simmer (Frequently stirring).

7. Once the sauce is simmering, reduce heat to Medium-low and continue cooking for about 30-40 minutes (frequently stirring).

8. Cook Pasta per package instructions.

9. Once pasta is cooked, drain the water and then add the sauce.
