Ingredients:
• 1/4 cup of olive oil
• 1 lg. Onion (diced)
• 3-4 cloves of garlic (minced)
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 lb. of ground beef (80-20)
• 1 lb. of ground sausage (mild or hot)
• 1/2 cup of red wine
• 2 tsp. of Salt
• ½ tsp. of Black Pepper
• 12 ounce can of Tomato paste
• 28 oz. can of Crushed Tomatoes
• 1 qt of beef broth
• 2 quarts of chicken broth
• 1 pint of heavy cream
• 10 oz. of broken Lasagna noodles
• 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp. Italian parsley
• 32 oz, Whole-milk Ricotta
• Shredded Whole-milk mozzarella (optional)
Directions:
1. Chop onion and mince the garlic.
2. In an 8-quart pot, on high-heat, add the olive oil, onion, garlic, and bay leaves.
3. Cook until onions and garlic are translucent (about 5 minutes).
4. Add ground beef, sausage, 1 tsp. of salt, and ½ tsp. of black pepper.
5. Once meat is fully cooked, remove the grease from the pot.
6. Add tomato paste and wine, then cook for 2 minutes.
7. Add crushed tomato and cook for 5 minutes.
8. Add the beef and chicken broth, cover and cook until it comes to a boil.
9. Once the soup comes to a boil, add Lasagna noodles and cook for 5-6 minutes.
10. Finally, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese and continue cooking for 6 minutes
